Fear. Anger. Despair. Hope – A diagnosis of “cancer” represents a roller coaster of emotions.
The certainty you never wanted. Cancer? Sure, it exists—in the family, among friends, and with celebrities. It was always someone else. But now you are one of them. Welcome to the club? No thanks. Wrong number. Nightmare, please wake up.
So far, so not good. Denial failed. We are facing ourselves and the cancer: In a new format on September 25 in Herne: “#fuckcancer – Together Against Cancer. Why Trust Is So Important!” Because yes, they do exist—the ever-improving therapy options and the realization: You are not alone. Physicians from the center will provide information, and young and old patients will share their stories. Expertise and empathy. Both matter, both help. Everyone is invited to listen, ask questions, and exchange ideas at the booths, from 3:00 to 5:30 PM at the Evangelisches Krankenhaus Herne-Mitte (Seminar Room), Wiescherstr. 24. Registration? Not required.
