Lung Carcinoma in a Nutshell

Dear Colleagues,

For many years, our annual event “Lung Carcinoma in a Nutshell” provided an overview of the rapid developments in thoracic oncology.
After a hiatus of several years, we would like to revive this continuing education event.

In the Thoraxzentrum Ruhrgebiet, we have found a partner with whom we want to bring together thoracic oncology practitioners in the Ruhr region to regularly exchange ideas on new therapeutic strategies.

The most significant change in the treatment of lung carcinoma in recent years has been the broad introduction of neoadjuvant chemo-immunotherapy in stages II and III of NSCLC. Prof. Dr. Pöttgen will give a keynote speech on the significance of radiation therapy in stage III, particularly for Pancoast tumors. Furthermore, lung cancer screening is just around the corner. PD Dr. Kühl will elaborate on practically important aspects of this for us.
