• The Thorax Center is a core component of a Certified Lung Cancer Center according to the specifications of the German Cancer Society (DKG).

• The clinic is a Center for Infectious Diseases of the German Society for Infectious Diseases (DGI).
• The Department of Pulmonology is a certified Weaning Center of the German Respiratory Society (DGP).
• Pleural Tumor Registry of the German Society for Thoracic Surgery (DGT) in cooperation with StuDoQ of the German Society for General and Visceral Surgery (DGAV).
• The Thorax Center maintains a DGSM-accredited sleep laboratory.
