The Thoraxzentrum Ruhrgebiet in Herne-Eickel is one of only about 30 to 40 centers in Germany specializing in the fields of Lung Cancer and Lung Metastases. To ensure optimal medical care for patients with diseases of the lungs, airways, and surrounding chest area, we combine several specialized departments and facilities within our Thoraxzentrum.

The Clinic for Thoracic Surgery in Herne-Eickel is one of Germany’s largest and most modern specialized departments for operations on diseased organs of the chest. A large proportion of thoracic surgeries are performed video-assisted using minimally invasive techniques.
