Treatment Process in Pulmonology
- Whenever possible, we refer to all available preliminary examinations to utilize existing findings and avoid duplicate tests.
- Upon admission, a treatment plan is developed, encompassing necessary examinations, consultation appointments, and discharge management. While we aim to minimize the length of stay, our primary objective is to diagnose and treat the health issues that led to admission. This treatment may be provided on an outpatient or inpatient basis, or continued through outpatient or supplementary outpatient care.
- We have established treatment standards, including algorithms, for our medical staff. We view these standards as guides for optimal diagnostics and therapy, ideally aligned with current scientific guidelines. Nevertheless, we also consider each patient an individual case, for whom a modified, individualized concept may be necessary and developed accordingly.
- We place the highest value on discussions with patients and their relatives, during the initial consultation, potentially during ward rounds, and also outside of these. We are committed to professional competence, human integrity, and, above all, empathy for the patient.
- Patients leave the clinic with a preliminary medical report clearly outlining diagnoses, necessary further measures, any scheduled appointments, and recommended medication.
- During inpatient treatment, we maintain contact with the referring physician as appropriate.
