Senior Physicians in Thoracic Surgery
Requirement: Specialist physician with a focus on thoracic surgery
Location: Department of Thoracic Surgery in Herne
Information:
We are certified as an Oncology Center, Lung Cancer Center, and Center of Excellence for Thoracic Surgery. The Thoraxzentrum has completed a five-year construction phase. This has resulted in a completely new building wing with 3 wards, a new surgical building with 4 operating rooms, an intermediate care unit with 8 beds, an intensive care unit with 11 beds, and a new outpatient clinic.
Staffing ratio: 1 – 5 – 9.5.
Training authorization: 24 months Common Trunk, 48 months Thoracic Surgery
Range of Services:
- Entire field of thoracic surgery, focus on VATS/VAMLA
- 600 operations/year, Case Mix Index (CMI) >3.1
- 1,000 bronchoscopies with all diagnostic and interventional procedures
- Outpatient clinic: 4,500 patients/year

Resident Physician in Pneumology and Infectious Diseases

Specialist Physicians in Hematology and Internal Oncology
We are looking for specialist physicians with at least 3 years of clinical experience with the goal of acquiring a specialization in hematology and internal oncology and/or palliative medicine (alternatively specialist status). Part-time is gladly possible.

We are looking for internists with a focus on hematology and internal oncology and palliative medicine in a senior physician function (at least 75%).
Basic knowledge in cytology and flow cytometry is required. Part of the activity extends to collaboration within the framework of the cross-hospital Augusta Oncology Center.
