Since its establishment, over 40,000 patients have undergone chest surgery. Currently, we perform over 1,800 operations annually in the department, in addition to 50 outpatient procedures.<\/p>\n<p>In the Department of <strong>Pulmonology<\/strong>, 4,500 inpatients are treated annually at the Herne-Eickel location, and approximately 1,300 annually at the Bochum location. Additionally, about 1,000 outpatients are seen at the Bochum location.<\/p>\n<p>In <strong>Interdisciplinary Endoscopy<\/strong> in Herne, more than 3,000 bronchoscopies (airway examinations) are performed per year.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Thoracic Oncology<\/strong> department at the Eickel location cares for approximately 2,000 patients within the ASV framework (Specialized Outpatient Medical Care).
